Mahnoor Kamran is a student, climate justice advocate, facilitator and consultant who advises energy companies, regulators, government departments and charities on youth inclusion and climate justice. She joined Good Energy’s Good Future Board in 2021 to bring a youth voice to the company’s commitments to combating climate change.
As an advocate, Mahnoor has been a part of major global discussions on environmental policy, and works to empower young people to act on climate. Her interest lies within global justice as she grew up between South Asia and the Middle East, with moving to the UK opening her eyes to how People of Colour are also disproportionately affected in the Global North.
Mahnoor has advised energy regulator Ofgem through think tank ’Sustainability First’ and today is a campaign coordinator at Students Organising for Sustainability (SOS-UK). Most recently, she secured a full academic scholarship to study Geography at the University of Oxford through the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies.
