What to expect?
There is a global effort to shift to a new economic model that prioritises people’s health, well-being, and living within Earth’s planetary boundaries.
One of the key drivers of this change is ambitious policy. Some governments are stepping up and working to create economic conditions that favour companies contributing to the shift. But, the devil is in the detail.
To help ensure these policies are effective and avoid unintended consequences, as the ones implementing the change, businesses need to be included in the conversation. SMEs account for 61% of employment in the UK and 51% of turnover, yet because of the sheer number of us, this portion of the economy can risk losing its voice.
Across industries, B Corp has aligned business models. How can we join together with a shared goal (and a triple baseline) and use the B Corp movement to create a loud collective voice that helps government policy build a greener and more equitable future?
