What to expect?
A look behind the label at what’s in our clothes, the fibres & fabric they’re made of, and what that means to us, the people who made them and the planet. We’ll also look at how you can better care for your clothes and what their fibres means for the end of their life too.
We all wear them, but in fact most of us know very little about our clothes and what they are made of. In this fun, interactive & thought-provoking session, Y.O.U Underwear will share some of fashion’s dirtier secrets and how a bit of knowledge goes a long way to improving our impact.
All delivered as an interactive session where particiPANTS are asked to bring an old pair of underwear/socks to recycle to bring the content to life – and contribute to our impact target of underwear donations / recycling.
Why join this session?
If you’re interested in finding out a bit more about the clothes you wear, how to care for them, & what to do with them when you no longer wear them. If you want a pants-eye view of the fashion world and how you can make a difference with your old undies (or socks).
What are the key outcomes?
An increased understanding of some of what makes up our clothes, how to take better care of them, and what to do at the end of their life. A high-level view of materials, fabric care, recycling & circularity in the fashion industry.
