Ruth Turner served as Director of Government Relations in Number 10 Downing Street between 2005 and 2007. She is now Senior Director at the Forward Institute, a certified B Corp which works to build a movement for responsible leadership amongst Britain’s biggest and best organisations.
Before working in 10 Downing Street Ruth spent 13 years as an award-winning social entrepreneur, including as co-founder of The Big Issue in the North. Ruth has worked closely with scientists, artists and inventors, drug addicts, religious extremists, Cabinet Ministers, public health experts, environmentalists, global sports stars and CEOs of some of the UK’s biggest companies.
The Forward Institute was set up in 2015 by a group of senior leaders with a bold mission: to make responsible leadership the only leadership. Today they partner with major organisations across the private, public and social sectors to help them revitalise their cultures, enhance their leadership and act better for society.
