There is no regeneration without Disability liberation

Hosted by: ThisAbility Limited Leading the change Audience Size: 36 - 100 View map Buy Tickets View full agenda

What to expect?

Disabled people are a vital and overlooked goldmine of expertise in these times of climate crisis and social injustice. Disabled people understand better than anyone the interdependence between people and planet and how we form a single ecosystem. We are experts in adapting to environments that aren’t built for us. Yet Disabled people are often excluded from these vital conversations and are among the world’s most marginalised groups.

With over four decades of lived experience of Disability and over a decade and a half of experience with the creative industries, I will highlight why it’s imperative that socially conscious brands actively embrace anti-ableism in their strategies – I will provide a seven-wheel framework on just how they can do that.

The interactive session will be for curious, compassionate, and courageous souls interested in how the change effected by Disabled people can be applied to foster meaningful connection through interdependence and encourage growth through Revolutionary LOVE®.

If you dare, I’ll see you there! Xx

Why join this session?

Because there is no regeneration without Disability liberation.

What are the key outcomes?

By the time the session is complete, participants will:

  • Understand what anti-ableism and Disability Justice are and why it is so vital for your business practices
  • Gain an actionable framework for how to make your brand not only socially conscious but also socially impactful
  • Understand the interdependent relationship between Disability Justice and a more inclusive and regenerative world.
