What to expect?
The real Living Wage campaign has achieved massive success and profile in the UK. 15,000 employers are accredited real Living Wage employers and the campaign has put £3bn billion back into the pockets of more than 450,000 low paid workers. The national living wage in government policy. However, as a country we still face enormous problems around in-work poverty. 2 in 3 children living in poverty in the UK have a parent in work. Millions of working-age people are too ill to work. Surveys show that the number of people finding work fulfilling is in decline. How do we change this? What next for tackling in work poverty in the UK?
